It is a matter of great pride that one of our illustrious student named Sunny Kumar of 3rd year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) has brought laurels of success by securing the First position and winning a cash prize of Rupees One Lakhs at : Dr Ambedkar Foundation National Essay Compettion-2012" under the aegis of Dr. Ambedkar Foundation, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, New Delhi. We express our heartiest congratulations on his grand success.
- BEST WRITTEN SUBMISSION AWARD TO CNLU.
Team comprising of Aakriti Tripathi, Girijapati Kaushal and Pawan Kumar of Chanakya national law university, Patna has been awarded the best written submissions award in the north India rounds of the prestigious Phillip C Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2013 held in Symbiosis Law School Noida from 18th to 20th January 2013. Teams representing universities across Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal & NUALS Kochi participated in the north India Round of this moot court competition based on International migration laws and the factual and legal consequences of climate change and sovereign debts. Chanakya National Law University was adjudged to be the university submitting the best written submissions. In the prize distribution ceremony having Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dipak Misra, Judge, Supreme Court of India and H.E. Mr. Gudmundur Eiriksson, Ambassador of Iceland to India as the dignitaries, certificates and awards were given to the participants by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dipak Misra, Judge, Supreme Court of India. Prof. A. Lakshminath, the Vice Chancellor and Dr. S. P. Singh, the Registrar, CNLU Patna, have congratulated the students for bringing laurels to the University and to the State of Bihar.
- CNLU TEAM ADJUDGED WINNER OF SPECTRUM-2012
- LAURELS TO CNLU AT DEBATE COMPETITION
The two member team of CNLU consisting of Mr. Manish Kumar of Fourth Year and Mr. Shivam of Second Year, have brought laurels to the University when they were adjudged the Winner of Symposium (A meeting or conference for the public discussion of some topic especially one in which the participants form an audience and make presentations) organised by National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Patna on 8th Feburary, 2012 in the event of SPECTRUM-2012 and the topic for discussion was “Social Media- A boon or bane”. While congratulating the students Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. A. Lakshminath urged the students to venture into research oriented studies and to have more exposure that will bring laurels to the University.
Two of the students of CNLU, Miss Shradha Sharma of Third Year and Mr. Shourya Basu of First Year, have brought home laurels when they were adjudged the First Runner up in the Debate Competition organized by the Department of Income-Tax, Patna at the Income Tax Building on the 21st of October, 2011. Mr. Shourya Basu won the Best Speaker Award in the competition in which around 10 educational institutions of Patna took part. The Department was celebrating ‘Vigilance Week’ and the topic for the Competition was, “The Present tools of vigilance are sufficient to combat the prevailing corruptions.”
- Best Mooter (Female) Award for CNLU in the International Moot Court Competition 2011
The three member team of CNLU consisting of Miss Shradha Sharma, Mr.Abhinav Tripathi and Miss Suhasini represented CNLU in the Amity First International Moot Court Competition 2011 held from 18th to 20th November 2011 at Amity Law School, Noida. 22 teams from various National Law Universities including NALSAR Hyderabad, NLIU Bhopal, NLU Delhi, HNLU Raipur, RGNLUL Patiala and other premier law schools like Symbiosis Pune, GLC Mumbai, etc., participated in the competition. Miss Shradha Sharma of CNLU won the Best Mooter (Female) Award in the event. On their return, Dr. S. P. Singh, the Registrar congratulated the team for their efforts and encouraged them to further inculcate such competitive spirit. Mr. Manoranjan Kumar, the faculty advisor for the CNLU Moot Court Committee, received them whole heartedly back to the University and expressed his happiness on their achievements. He also said that these students have brought laurels to the University.
