A youth delegation of China led by his Excellency Mr. Guan Wei, Secretary, CCC Youth League of China visited CNLU in the afternoon today. The delegation was welcomed by Dr. S. P. Singh, Registrar, CNLU, Patna, Who outlined the 2000 year old friendship and trade between the two countries. Prof. S. Ali Mohammad presented a memento to H.E. Mr. Guan Wei. Who talked of the long history of the two countries and emphasized that they should work together a better future.
In his scholarly address the Vice-Chancellor Prof. A. Lakshminath compared the philosophy of Confucius with that of Chanakya and said that in both the countries Morality, Ethics, Religion and Humanism are more important than law. He praised China for controlling corruption through administrative Law. A delegate praised the warmth and kindness of the Indian people and said that she was very happy to come to CNLU and meet the young people.
Dr. S.S. Prasad proposed a vote of thanks and described the Chiness travelers who came to Nalanda University in search of knowledge and study Buddhist philosophy. He said that such meetings between the youth of various countries will surely contribute to better understanding and world peace.
