Invitation from Vice-Chancellor
"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove but the world maybe different because I was important in the life of a child." - Kathy Davis. This quote in all its simplicity illustrates best the role and the responsibility of a teacher. Over my forty years as a teacher, I have come across many young minds and with each passing year, I have come to realize the colossal potential a student may possess, the high challenges of both the administration and a teacher and yet I must say the experience is amazingly refreshing! Here, I must add the outgoing batch of 2012 is amongst the most vivacious I have known.
Laying down the foundation of a law school and building its character is herculean task in its own way. However, the judicious channeling of the resources concomitant with conscientious effort put by the students made the challenging task not only easy but also immensely successful. Five years since its inception, today CNLU may take pride in the numerous accolades achieved by its students, a description of which may be referred to at later pages. The credit for this solely goes to its students who out of their sheer zeal to stand out and mark their presence have indulged in wide spectrum of activities and come out with colourful results.
Besides, the endeavour of the diligent teachers and the holistic course curriculum divided into semesters, focused on the overall development of its students, wide arrays of activities like moots, debates, clinics, seminars, sports and cultural events further polish the finer aspects of a student's personality. The intensive legal education imparted here motivates a student to achieve the zenith of knowledge which is not merely restricted to text books but beyond it.
The batch of 2012 is a wonderful mix of enthusiasm driven with consistent perseverance to outmaneuver its competitors across the industry. Being amongst the precursors of a new establishment, ideas and visions have remained a natural proclivity. The numerous students' initiatives glimpse the manifestation of these ideas. The knack of working under pressure with limitations of resources has sharpened their ability to deliver in the toughest of situations. Needless to say, it is a dexterity with high rewards to all those who master it.
As my students, laced with multitude of skills near graduation, I recall their brilliant and bold ideas to improvise their faculties in pursuit of the fabric of dreams and aspirations woven over the years. The holidays invested in internships, the Sundays over college events, the marked presence in the industry's famed offices and chambers and sound resumes built meticulously over the years authenticate their caliber to storm the legal world with their mettle. Most cordially, I invite you to meet these young brains of 2012 batch who are impeccably promising for a mutually profitable, resourceful and rewarding association.
