About

Dr. Utkarsh K. Mishra is working as Associate Professor (Corporate and Competition Law) at CNLU, Patna. His scholarship centres on International Economic Law, Contract Law, Company Law, International Trade and International Investment Laws, Critical Contract Law and Private International Law. Being a researcher to the core, his teaching pedagogy in International Business and Economic Law disciplines combines theoretical and critical understanding of the subject with a pragmatic approach. Dr. Utkarsh is an alumnus of NLU Odisha [B.A. (Economics), LL. B. (Hons.)]; NLU Jodhpur [LL. M (International Trade and International Investment Laws)]; NALSAR, Hyderabad [Ph. D]. He has previously taught as law faculty at DNLU, Jabalpur and HPNLU, Shimla and worked as Assistant Registrar (Research), Centre for Research and Planning, Supreme Court of India and as Research Associate (Legal), CUTS International, Jaipur. He is currently also associated with World Trade Organization as Expert Member in Trade and Gender Unit (Gender Research Hub).

Dr. Utkarsh has previously taught courses on Contract Law, International Trade Law, International Investment Law, Company Law, Private International Law, Competition Law and Critical Contract Law, etc., at Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur and Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU), Shimla.

On the front of research, he has worked on deputation as Assistant Registrar (Research), Centre for Research and Planning, Office of Chief Justice of India, Supreme Court of India, New Delhi ; as Founding Director, Centre for Studies in International Trade and Investment Laws (CITIL) at DNLU, Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh; and as Research Associate (Legal) at CUTS International (Centre for International Trade, Economics and Environment), Jaipur, Rajasthan.
