About
Dr. Swati Singh Parmar has primary interests in International legal theory and history, Critical International Law, Critical Legal Pedagogy, and Research Methodology.
Her authored book, ‘An Introduction to International Law’ (Thomson Reuters, 2021) was cited as one of the ‘most interesting works in 2021’ by the International Law Reporter. She has published book chapters, including invited chapters for books published by OUP, CUP, and Edward Elgar. Her works find home in journals including the International Journal for the Semiotics of Law, International Migration, Indonesian Journal of International Law, Indian Journal of International Law, NUJS Law Review and EPW. She has also penned blog posts for Opinio Juris, Voelkerrechtsblog, & AsianSIL Voices (Cambridge Core), among others. She is also an op-ed contributor to The Hindu.
She has presented her work at various platforms, including the Asian Legal History Conference, Asian Society of International Law (AsianSIL), Asian Law Institute (ASLI), International Society of Public Law (ICON S), European Society of International Law (ESIL), Australian & New Zealand Society of International Law (ANZSIL), & others. She has delivered invited lectures at United Nations Environment Programme Summer School and other forums. Additionally, she presently is the Oxford Rapporteur for International Organisations (OXIO).
