ABOUT
Mr Utkarsh Bansal is the Coordinator of the Civil Services Study Centre and also a faculty member at Chanakya National Law University. He has completed his B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. He has also appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination and successfully reached the mains stage. Over the years, he has been involved in diverse research projects, ranging from work with the CID, Andhra Pradesh, to comparative studies in German law.
His core areas of expertise lie at the intersection of innovation in pedagogy and educational sciences, Corporate Social Governance, and law–climate change interdisciplinarity. He has contributed a chapter on the Indian Trusts Act in the context of Investment Funds, published by Thomson Reuters. Additionally, his working paper “Reading Between the Circles” has been adopted as a mandatory reading in Corporate Social Responsibility courses at NALSAR by Dr. Neha Pathakji.
Alongside his academic contributions, he also brings litigation experience from the Delhi High Court and the Supreme Court of India. His professional aim has been to reinvent pedagogy by linking the material dimensions of law with the immaterial landscapes of society, thereby conceptualizing a practice of law that is both innovative and interdisciplinary.
