About
Ms. Akansha Rai has joined CNLU Patna in January 2026 as an Assistant Professor of Practice. Enrolled with Bar Council of Delhi in 2013, she has more than 10 years of experience in the field of law. Soon after graduating with BA, LLB from Amity Law School, Noida in 2013, she joined HSA Advocates- a reputed law firm specialising in civil and commercial laws with its forte in infrastructure, power and energy. As a part of the Alternative Disputes Resolution team, she dealt extensively with foreign conglomerates (such as from China, Australia, New Zealand) as her clients who were executing their projects in India. Subsequently, she joined Archeus Law in 2017 and along with her International Commercial Arbitration matters, she was also involved with arbitration matters relating to State government projects such as of Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman. Nigam, Bihar State Road Development Corporation etc. She has been comprehensively involved in the renowned case of Vedanta Aluminium Limited v. Shenzhen Shandong Nuclear Power Construction Co. (SSNP). After gaining experience at law firms, she joined MBL Infrastructure (‘A’ grade contractor company of NHAI) as their Legal Manager and was managing the company’s ADR, banking and corporate matters. She also worked as an independent practitioner and has been thoroughly engaged in drafting, vetting of contract, representing the company/firm/clients before the arbitral tribunal, National Company Law Tribunal, the Supreme Court and other courts of India. She is also LLM in Legal Theory from Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. She is proficient in German, English and Hindi and has working knowledge of Bengali.
